AWC - Aiport Wildlife Control - April 2-3, 2020 - Williams Lake Regional Airport - 4 spots left

Under Canadian Aviation Regulations an airport operator is required to establish a bird and wildlife management program. Airport operators are responsible for ensuring that all personnel involved with airport wildlife management are properly trained and receive refresher training at least every five years. CARS 302.307, prescribes the requirement and criteria for airport wildlife training.

APDM - Airport Planning, Development and Management - June 15-17, 2020 -Pearson International Airport

Presented by Lloyd A. McCoomb, A.A.E., Ph. D., P.Eng., F.C.A.E., ICD.D and Naren Doshi, P. Eng. , the objective of this course is to provide an overview of the planning, design, development and related management issues of modern airports as effective and efficient inter-modal transportation facilities. Participants will be introduced to current trends in the air transportation industry as these impact on air travel demand and the requirement for airport facilities and services. 

EMT - Emergency Management Training - September 14-16, 2020 - Waterloo International Airport

Municipalities, industries, institutions and commercial operations must all be prepared to manage the risks and consequences of a large scale emergency. Managing the impact of emergencies on lives and property is the responsibility of all organizations. Learn the basics of Emergency Management. This three-day course includes the following topics:

ACA - The 2020 Accreditation Academy - October 2020 - Toronto, ON

IAAE Canada's Accreditation Academy is an annual event for candidates ready to achieve the internationally recognized AAE and AAP designations. This week-long course provides an intensive review of the Body of Knowledge modules, and an opportunity to complete the multiple-choice exam at the end of the training. Completion of the Accreditation Academy and a successful passing grade of the onsite exam, will result in the Certified Member (C.M) designation.

GRF Implementation Course

The overall focus of this one-and-a-half day course will be to establish consistent understanding, procedures, and implementation of the new GRF-based Airfield Surface Condition Inspection & Reporting across Canada. Each section will include tables, images, and example scenarios to help the trainees understand each concept better. This training session is intended for airport personnel who already have substantial experience in airfield inspection and runway condition reporting. This course has a  a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 16. If you have more than 16, please contact us to discuss.

AMSCR - GRF Course

This course is three days in duration with the first two and one half days consisting of classroom work including two written, multi-choice tests and web-based computerized reporting. An additional half-day consists of individual student review of course material and tests, practical demonstration and practical testing. The course is designed for those who manage or conduct inspections of runways, taxiways and apron surfaces, including measurement of runway friction, and provide AMSCRs to Air Traffic Control, Flight Service Specialists and/or aircraft operators in accordance with Transport Canada Civil Aviation Advisory Circulars (ACs). The knowledge and skills addressed in this course are intrinsic to the safe operation of aircraft on airports. This course has an ideal class size of, and minimum of 10 people.
