AAE/AAP Candidates  - Important Program Update!

Hello All,

The COVID-19 pandemic caused an unprecedented disruption to aviation in Canada. Many of you, who had started the Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) or Accredited Airport Professional (AAP) were negatively affected.

In response, IAAE Canada 'paused' the deadlines required by candidates to remain in and complete their program. We felt that allowing this extension was a gesture of understanding and hope that you recognized that as well.

Our Board of Examiners are now re-instating some program deadlines in the hopes that we can assist you in achieving the internationally recognized AAE or AAP designation.

The New Program Deadlines:

• If you are in Stage 2 of the program; where you have successfully passed the Certified Member exam and earned the CM designation, you have until December 2024 to complete both Stages 2 and 3. For Stage 2, one of the following: a Management Research Paper, Case Study, Presentation or Proctored Essay or if you have a master’s Transcript or Above, qualifies as Stage 2 of the program.  Stage 3 is the Panel Interview.

• If you are in Stage 3 of the program; where your last requirement is to pass the Panel Interview, you have until December 2023 to complete the program.
